A new spy picture revealing the dashboard design and the dual tone interior colour treatment of the Mahindra U321 MPV has surfaced online, courtesy Rushlane. The upcoming MPV could make its public debut at the Auto Expo set to kick off on February 9, 2018.
The dashboard appears to be dominated by dark trims with the lower section likely to get a lighter treatment. As evident from the image here, the centre console has a very Maruti S-Cross like layout. Aircon controls are placed right under the touchscreen, which is likely to be the same 7-inch unit that is found in the XUV500. The roof lining and seat upholstery are draped in beige that should help give the cabin an airy feel. Previous spy shots of the Mahindra U321's interior have revealed the instrument console revealing lavender illumination and a Multi-information display in landscape orientation.
Spy pictures of the upcoming Mahindra MPV having been coming in thick and fast revealing exterior details. The U321 will get black bezel headlamps, bumper mounted LED DRLs, large vertically stacked tail lamps and 5-spoke 16-inch alloy wheels.
The U321 is expected to debut Mahindra's new 1.6 L mFalcon diesel engine that will also power future products including the SsangYong Tivoli based S201. A petrol variant could also be on the cards. Like the XUV500 and KUV100, the new MPV will be based on a monocoque chassis.
