IAB reader PE Robinson has shared spy pictures of the Mahindra U321. The upcoming MPV is expected to arrive before the end of the current fiscal and could make its debut at the Auto Expo on February 9, 2018.
The spy pictures reveal the tail lamp glow pattern partially. It appears that the MPV's stop lamps gets conventional bulbs and not LED fixtures as reported previously. Although this could be a mid- or lower-level trim. LED tail lamps could be reserved for the top-spec trim(s) only.
Older spy pictures of the Mahindra U321 have revealed headlamps with black bezels and projector units, bumper mounted LED DRLs and 16-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels with Apollo tyres. Inside, the Mahindra U321 will have two-tone black-beige colour scheme along with usage of gloss black inserts. Sandwiched between the tachometer and speedometer is a MID in landscape orientation. Lavender illumination and MID backlit colour is also visible in certain spy shots.
Powering the MPV will be a brand new 1.6 L mFalcon diesel engine from Mahindra. The company has also spoken about petrol variants for its entire lineup 2018 onwards. Therefore, the U321 might be launched with a petrol engine option as well.
