Launches on September 10.
With its launch just days away, fresh details continue to emerge about the Mahindra TUV300 compact SUV. A report on Autocar India suggests that the SUV will also get a micro hybrid system.
Mahindra's micro hybrid system is familiar to Indian customers, as it has already been seen in the Mahindra Scorpio and Mahindra Bolero, as the 'FuelSmart'. The system comes with a start/stop motor that turns off the engine to save fuel, in cases like waiting at the traffic light. The TUV300 will, in addition to this, receive a new Eco mode. The Eco mode is said to balance engine output for aircon power in order to increase efficiency.
As it was previously reported, the TUV300 will get a new 1.5-liter three-cylinder diesel engine. The mHawk80 engine on the new compact SUV will produce 80 hp and 230 Nm of torque. The car will receive both a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox. Reports also suggest that the TUV300 will come in three variants and that all variants will receive front airbags and ABS as standard.

Spyshots of the car's interior have also shown that the SUV gets a four-spoke multi-function steering wheel among other features.
