The Mahindra Scorpio facelift has been testing vigorously as it approaches its D-Day. From the the numerous earlier spyshots it's clear that the updated SUV gets a comprehensive makeover to its front fascia.
IAB reader Mr. J Senthil Kumar has managed to click the headlamp cluster of the new Scorpio which houses a projector element. The shape of the new headlamp is edgy and features a tinted finish. The refreshed SUV sports dual barrel headlamp units (one projector and one halogen) with turn indicators at the bottom but LED daytime running lights are absent.
Apart from the reworked front fascia, the 2015 Scorpio has also been given a slightly revised rear bumper, tailgate and new LED taillights. Inside, the dashboard is redesigned and borrows its steering wheel from the XUV500.
Given that the current Scopio still manages to clock a monthly average of 4,411 units, the refreshed model is expected to leave the undercarriage untouched. The 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine and the entry level 2.5-litre m2 DiCR diesel engine would soldier on without major changes.
The Mahindra Scorpio facelift should be here in the festive season, or early next year.
