Will likely be a compact crossover like the Hyundai Tucson.
Following the Mahindra KUV100, Mahindra's next passenger car launch will be a crossover based on it. It'll probably be the second major global product from recent times after the Mahindra XUV500, targeting even developed markets.
The Mahindra TUV300 is ruled out for Australia and instead, the new crossover (codename: Mahindra S105) would be launched there.
Speaking to CarAdvice about the Mahindra S105's technical aspects, James Halliwell, Marketing Manager at Mahindra Automotive Australia, said: "Potentially it would be bigger (than four 4 metres)." Being over four metres in length but expectedly not longer than the XUV500, it'll probably be a compact crossover slotted between the TUV300 and the XUV500.
The potential Hyundai Tucson rival will also have all the safety features required for the Oceanic market, Mr. Halliwell confirmed. "There will be a few changes compared to what we see on the domestic KUV100," he said, hinting a relatively different exterior.

On the Mahindra S105's pricing, Mr. Halliwell said: "I think it will be under (AU)$20,000 (INR 9.68 lakhs).” To put that in perspective, the 2016 Mahindra XUV500 mid-size crossover was just announced with prices starting at AU$29,900 (INR 14.47 lakhs) about AU$1,910 over the starting price of the Hyundai Tucson (AU$27,990).
