Mahindra has launched the replacement for the Quanto in Mumbai today. Dubbed the Mahindra Nuvosport, it is priced between INR 7.35 Lakhs to INR 9.76 Lakhs (ex-showroom Thane).
Compared to the Quanto, the Mahindra Nuvosport features a more aggressive front end with a new grille flanked by headlamps, separate LED DRLs, contoured hood with an intake, stylized front bumper with round foglamps, and a silver skid plate. The Nuvosport gets contrasting black plastic body cladding for a rugged look, while the rear end features clear lens taillights, roof spoiler and new spare wheel cover.
Inside, the Nuvosport features a beige dashboard with chrome and black plastic elements. The seats are upholstered in dual tone beige-and-black leather, and there are a couple of jump seats in the third row for a 5+2 seating arrangement. With the seats folded, the Nuvosport has a boot capacity of 412 liters.
It features steering-mounted buttons for cruise control and music controls, 6.2 inch AVN touchscreen infotainment system, alloy wheels and tilt steering adjustability. Airbags and ABS are optional in the base variant, and standard from the mid-spec grades
Under the hood, the Quanto-replacement packs a 1.5-liter three cylinder mHawk engine, which produces 100 PS and 240 Nm of torque. A 5-speed AMT will be offered as optional, while a 5-speed manual is standard. As for fuel mileage, it is capable of achieving an ARAI-certified 17.35 km/L.
