Here are 5 things we know about the Mahindra NuvoSport.
1. Exterior design
The NuvoSport features a heavily redesigned front fascia comprising of new headlamps, standalone LED DRLs, larger lower air-dam, smaller grille, new foglamps, new turn indicators, new alloy wheels, revised taillamps, a spoiler and new badges.
2. Interior design
The Mahindra NuvoSport's interior looks for the most part the same as the existing Mahindra Quanto except for the addition of features such as 2-DIN music system with a touchscreen display, cruise control and eight-way adjustable seats with lumbar support which are first in its segment.
3. Addition of AMT
The sub-4 metre vehicle will be offered with the autoSHIFT five-speed AMT as an option while the five-speed manual transmission will be available as standard. With this, Mahindra will be having two utility vehicles in the compact space with AMT technology.
4. Positioning it as a compact SUV
The NuvoSport will be positioned between the KUV100 and the TUV300 as a compact SUV. The new design makes the model less reminiscent of the Mahindra Xylo (MPV) and look more like an 'all-new' SUV.
5. Continues to retain 5+2 seating

The Quanto-replacement continues to offer the two jump seats at the rear end that make it a seven-seater. While this reduces product differentiation (compared to the TUV300), Mahindra bets that the utility factor is still present.
