Bookings underway for INR 10,000.
Ahead of its market launch on January 15, 2016, YouTube user 'Gaurav Thakur' has videotaped the Mahindra KUV100 at a Mahindra workshop, revealing the rear design of the "compact SUV" which until now was kept a secret.
The KUV100 in the video is likely the top-end K8 variant given the presence of alloy wheels, chrome highlights for the foglights and rear reflectors, chrome elements on the grille, and a rear wiper/washer.
Inside, the KUV100 features a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, an integrated music system, three rotary controls for the HVAC and the bench-type seating up front. According to reports, Mahindra will provide a lap belt for the front center passenger.
All variants of the KUV100 will get ABS, while dual front airbags can be specced as an option even on the base variants. A total of four variants will be available: K2, K4, K6 and K8.
The KUV100 will be powered by Mahindra's new mFalcon family of petrol and diesel engines. The petrol unit, G80, is a 1.2-liter three-cylinder motor capable of 82 bhp and 114 Nm of torque, whereas the D75 diesel, also a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine produces 77 bhp and 190 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox will drive the front wheels of the KUV100.
