Mahindra has updated its bread and butter offering Bolero with ABS. The new model's prices start at INR 7.68 lakh* for the base SLE Power+ variant and extend up to INR 8.68 lakh* for ZLX Power+ variant.
Beginning from 1 April 2019, ABS has become mandatory in all M1 category vehicles, and from 1 July 2019 driver airbag, speed alert warning, seat belt reminders and rear parking sensors have become mandatory. So, the Bolero Power+ is kitted with all these safety features.
Last month, it was announced that Mahindra will soon discontinue the long Bolero, but will continue with the Bolero Power+. “From ABS perspective and crash and safety perspective, our old Bolero, not the new Bolero+ (Bolero Power +) which we do 7.5 thousand, and the long Bolero, they will not qualify and it is not worthwhile to spend money for making them BS-VI," said Rajan Wadhera, President, Mahindra and Mahindra, said at this year's Analyst Meet recently.
Bolero churns out strongest sales for Mahindra in its entire line-up but instead of coming up with a new model, it will upgrade the existing model as per the latest market demands. Also, the company is expected to bring new updates in the form of a higher bonnet, a softer bumper and a redesigned grille with a minor refresh to make it safer for pedestrians in case of a mishap.
