Lexus has inaugurated their first dealership in Mumbai, which is located near the Chhatrapati Shivaji Airport‘s domestic terminal at Taj Santacruz.
Models on sale in India include the Lexus ES and Lexus RX, while the full-size Lexus LX will be showcased at the dealerships for before it goes on sale this year. The Toyota Avalon-based Lexus ES is launched in the ES 300h hybrid variant, which is priced at INR 55,27,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
Even the Lexus RX comes in the RX 450h hybrid variant and offers two trim levels: Luxury and F-Sport. The Luxury and F-Sport variants are priced at INR 1,07,29,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) and INR 1,09,61,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively.
The full-size Lexus LX is based on the Toyota Land Cruiser, and is not on sale in India yet, although reports suggest that it will be priced at an eye-watering INR 2.3 crores (ex-showroom). Unlike its smaller siblings, the Lexus LX gets a conventional diesel powertrain that packs a 4.5-litre V8 turbodiesel engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission. It's the only diesel offering from Lexus India.
Lexus India will soon open dealerships in New Delhi, Gurgaon and Bangalore, while after sales service facilities will be made available to Lexus customers in Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kochi.
