Could be introduced along with station wagon model in the near future.
Along with the regular sedan that is slated for launch on November 25, Lada could, interestingly, also introduce a long wheelbase version of the Vesta, as spotted by Autoblog.rs.
The website reports that the wheelbase has been extended by 250 mm, which is clearly apparent in the images. The regular Vesta sedan measures 4,410 mm long, 1,764 mm wide, 1,497 mm high, while the wheelbase is 2,635 mm.
It could carry over the engine lineup from the Lada Vesta, which includes a 1.6-litre petrol in 16-valve configuration and 8-valve configuration that produces 106 hp and 87 hp, respectively. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual transmission and 5-speed AMT gearbox. Also offered is a Nissan-sourced 1.6-litre petrol engine that delivers 114 bhp, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Mass production of the Lada Vesta has already commenced at AvtoVaz’s plant in Izhevsk, Russia. It's based on a new platform called B/C, developed by AvtoVAZ with inputs from the Renault-Nissan Alliance.
