Could go on sale in China as early as March next year.
What appears to be the production version of the Kia KX3 mini SUV has been spotted in China by 163 Auto. Based on the Hyundai ix25 (India bound), the vehicle debuted in concept form at the 2014 Guangzhou Motor Show last month.
Kia had earlier mentioned that the KX3 is a China only product while it's expected to be launched in the month of April, according to a previous report.
The version spotted here features a vertically set foglight (larger than the concept's), different alloy wheels, badges on the rear door, differently detailed taillamps, new bumper-mounted reflectors and a new skidplate.
The KX3 crossover is 4,260 mm long, 1,765 mm wide, and 1,630 mm tall. It has a wheelbase of 2,590 mm, which is identical to the ix25. And like the ix25, the vehicle too is going to be powered by a 1.6-litre engines, both in naturally aspirated and turbocharged versions. The larger 2-litre unit is likely to be skipped in the Kia, though.

The KX3 reportedly fared well in the Chinese NCAP crash test, achieving a full 5-star rating. Apart from a good level of safety features, it will get push-button engine starter, and automatic climate control, depending on the trim level, add Chinese media reports.
