JK Tyre and Industries Limited have entered the Limca Book of Records with the country’s largest off-the-road tyre - VEM 045. Introduced in 2014, the 40.00-57 VEM 045 tyre is 12 feet tall and weighs approximately 3.4 tons. JK Tyre introduced the product for India’s biggest rigid dump truck that has a payload capacity of up to 240 tons.

Speaking about entering the Limca Book of Records, Vikram Malhotra, Marketing Director, JK Tyre and Industries Ltd said that the VEM 045 has been widely appreciated for its sturdiness and functionality. An official release quotes Malhotra saying:
