Jawa dealership locations in India revealed - Report

Classic Legends, a subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra, has appointed 105 dealerships for the sale of Jawa motorcycles in India. Of the 105 dealerships, 64 stores would commence operations very soon. In fact, at the unveiling and launch of the Jawa motorcycles in the Indian market, officials confirmed that the first dealerships would be open for business on December 5, 2018.

Classic Legends unveiled three Jawa motorcycles for the Indian market. The Jawa and the Jawa Forty-Two are available for bookings while the Jawa Perak will arrive in early 2019.

While we are yet to receive a complete list of dealerships, a report from Autocar details the store locations. Four major cities – Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Pune – would receive four showrooms each those would be located at strategic places.

The reported Jawa dealership locations are:

  • Mumbai – Andheri (West), Chembur, Thane (near Viviana mall) and Vashi
  • Delhi – Krishna Nagar, Gujranwala Town, Saket and Tilak Nagar
  • Hyderabad – Ranigunj, Banjara Hills road number 12, Gachibowli Hitech road and Kukatpally
  • Pune – Baner, Koregaon Park and Chinchwad station

Apart from the cities mentioned above, the source report adds:

  • Bengaluru will get 5 dealerships
  • Chennai will get 4 dealerships
  • Kolkata will get 1 dealership

To recap, Classic Legends unveiled three Jawa motorcycles in India on November 15. Of the three, two products – the Jawa Forty-Two and the Jawa were launched in the country while the third, the Perak bobber would be available for booking and sale from early 2019. Currently, the booking process has commenced online, and buyers can reserve a motorcycle for a token amount of INR 5,000.

The Jawa and the Jawa Forty-Two use the 293cc, single cylinder, DOHC, 4-valve motor with liquid cooling and fuel injection engine that delivers 27 bhp of power and 28 Nm of torque. The motor is paired with a six-speed transmission. Stopping power comes from a 280mm single disc at the front while at the rear is a drum unit. Single-channel ABS comes as standard.

Classic Legends have launched the Jawa and Jawa Forty Two at ex-showroom Delhi prices of INR 1,64,000 and INR 1,55,000. Deliveries would commence in the first quarter of 2019.
