Honda Thailand has showcased the Honda Jazz Modulo J-Top Sport Package at the 2015 Bangkok Motor Show which opened today.
Based on the Jazz SV grade, it gets front under spoiler, rear under spoiler, door mirror garnish, door mirror protector, side step garnish LED, shark fin antenna, door visor, daytime running light and cargo tray.
Launched in Thailand last May, the 2014 Jazz is the third generation hatchback which sports the “Solid Wing Face” and shares its platform with the Honda City. While the sheet metal and pillars differ, the dashboard, instrumentation and cabin are common to both.
The Thai market Jazz is powered by the 1.5 litre SOHC i-VTEC engine capable of making 117 bhp and 146 Nm. The E85-compatible four-cylinder engine is familiar from the Indian City. The engine is coupled to a seven-speed stepped CVT that gets paddles behind the steering, again shared with the City, or a five-speed manual.
The car is packed with a seven-inch touch-screen audio system with HDMI support, Siri Eyes-Free Mode for iPhone (4S and above), touchscreen controls for the automatic AC, steering audio/phone controls, keyless entry and push-button start. ABS, EBD, VSA, six airbags and a reverse camera are fitted to the top-spec variant.
Honda Cars India have started producing the new Jazz for exports. The Indian launch is likely during mid-year powered by the all-important 1.5-liter i-DTEC diesel engine.
