Hyundai Verna sales breach 25,000 mark within six months

Hyundai India has managed to sell over 25,000 units of the Verna in around six months since its launch. The new Hyundai Verna was also crowned the Indian Car of the Year 2018 (ICOTY 2018) and has won a total of 25 awards so far.

Domestic sales of the Hyundai Verna have breached the 25,000 mark in less than six months since its launch.

According to an official release from HMIL, the Hyundai Verna has sold over 25,800 Units in India and over 11,800 Units in global markets since its launch on August 22, 2017. Last month, the Verna outsold chief rival Honda City (3,968 units) clocking sales of 4,601 units.

Hyundai launched the new Verna initially with 1.6 L petrol and diesel engines paired with automatic and manual transmissions. Last month, a 1.4 L petrol variant was added to the lineup lowering the starting price to INR 7.29 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).

Highlights of Hyundai Verna’s equipment list include 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, projector fog lamp, LED tail lamp graphics and a shark fin antenna. The Verna’s 7-inch touchscreen AVN supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Mirror Link. It gets ventilated front seats and Smart Trunk functionality making it the only car in its segment with these features. ISOFIX child seat anchorage points, ABS, and dual front airbags are offered as standard fitment across all trims.
