Hyundai selling more than 8,000 Venue SUVs in India a month

Priced well, packed well, and backed by a brand with the nation's second-strongest network, Hyundai's Venue has become the highest selling UV in India, dethroning Maruti Suzuki's Vitara Brezza. Last month, it ranked no. 10 among the country's best-selling passenger vehicles.

Hyundai has announced that it has sold more than over 42,681 units of the Venue in the period of May-September, and that number converts to an average monthly sales of over 8,000 units. The company has received over 75,000 bookings for this model. Every second customer is interesting in the variant with the BlueLink connected car technology. This feature is available in the SX DCT and the top-end SX(O) trims.

The runner-up Maruti Vitara Brezza saw a sales of 40,425 units in the period of May to September 2019, while the Mahindra XUV300 stood at the third position with a significantly lower sales of 19,370 units. The Tata Nexon and the Ford Ecosport's numbers during the same period were at 17,137 and 16,016 units, respectively.

Speaking on the success of Hyundai VENUE, Mr. S J Ha, Executive Director, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said: “It is a moment for great pride for us as VENUE had outperformed to become the No.1 Utility Vehicle in India. The enthralling response of VENUE with over 75,000 bookings and 42,681 happy customers within 5 months is a testimony of the customers’ increasing preference towards the refreshed design and innovative features of India’s First Connected SUV.”

The Hyundai Venue sports a slew of comfort and convenience features such as an electric sunroof, wireless phone charging, air purifier, cruise control and more.  Apart from this, it gets Blue Link connectivity suite which has been quite famous among the Venue customers. This Blue Link connectivity suite comes with 33 connected vehicle features. Out of which, 10 have been added specifically for the Indian market.
