Top-end variant offers 4WD.
The Hyundai ix25 compact crossover SUV has been launched in China at a starting price of 119,800 yuan (around INR 11.96 lakhs).
Showcased as a near production concept at the Auto China in Beijing in April, the production model was unveiled last month at the Chengdu Auto Show. The vehicle will go head on against the Honda XR-V which is a China-specific variant of the HR-V (Vezel).
The ix25 for the Chinese market is available with 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre petrol motors mated either to a 6-speed manual or an automatic transmission. The top-end variant is priced at 179,800 yuan (around INR 17.95 lakhs).
The smaller engine is good for 122.8 bhp and 150.7 Nm of torque and is available only in 2WD version while the bigger mill generates 158 bhp and 192 Nm of torque and is offered in both 2WD and 4WD versions.
The equipment list of the top-end trim includes LED daytime running lights, panoramic sunroof, leather seats, touchscreen multimedia infotainment system, electrically folding wing mirrors, cruise control, automatic climate control, keyless start, reverse parking camera, ESP and so on.

The Hyundai ix25 has started testing on Indian roads and its launch is expected sometime next year.
