Hyundai is getting ready with a whole fleet of designs. They are planning to bring out new face-lifted editions or the next generation models into the market in the near future.
To begin with they have the i20 mini MPV. This is being designed by the Hyundai's European Design Centre at Russelsheim (Germany). It is likely that the i20 MPV shares its platform with the Kia YN minivan, showcased at Geneva Auto Show.
Other competitors in the small MPV market include a MPV based on the VW Polo, a Ford Fiesta based MPV and the Honda Jazz. It sure will be a tough fight in the segment.

Then there is the new Tuscon. The vehicle is likely to stay true to the ix-onic concept that Hyundai showcased at Geneva. Codenamed ix35, the new Tuscon is expected in India as well.
Also, under development is the next generation Sonata. Known as the Hyundai i40, the vehicle had not been a great success in the European markets. The manufacturer hopes to change things with the new model. A brand new six speed transmission is likely to be introduced along with a set of new diesel and petrol engines.
The new engine will feature direct injection, increasing the power by a straight 25 horses. Hybrid variants are also planned for the future.
The new line up would surely enable the manufacturer to keep its position of the fifth largest producers of passenger cars.
