Tweaked suspension, increased ground clearance among other changes.
Indian Autos Blog can report that the forthcoming Hyundai i20 Active will sport dual tone interior with blue-black and orange-black options, unlike the Elite i20's dual-tone black-and-beige cabin.
Apart from conveying a sporty pretension, the contrast interior colour scheme is expected to bode well with the eccentricity of the i20 Active. While the base colour is black, the blue or orange is applied to the dashboard, door cards, shift knob and seats. Additionally, an all-black interior option could also be extended.
Penned at Hyundai Europe's design center in Rüsselsheim, Germany, the i20 Active sports redesigned front and rear bumpers, skid plates, roof rails and side body cladding.
While it was reported and seen in spyshots that the i20 Active has projector headlights with LED daytime running lights, another nifty feature are the Cornering lights. This feature, usually associated with executive sedans like the VW Jetta and Skoda Octavia, is already seen in the hatchback segment on the VW Polo facelift, which improves illumination while turning.
Mechanically, the i20 Active will be powered by the 1.2-liter petrol and 1.4-liter diesel engine, doing duty on the Elite i20. Engineers have tweaked the suspension setup, altered the steering calibration, while improving the ground clearance.
