Offers better torque delivery than the Elite i20, but same power and torque outputs.
Seen here are more images of the Hyundai i20 Active courtesy of Indian Autos Blog readers, Mr. Divakar and Mr. Mohamed. Both cars here are likely the top-end SX variants, but the White i20 Active is identified as a diesel variant thanks to the visible badge.
The i20 Active will get a 1.2-liter petrol and 1.4-liter diesel, the latter offering a 6-speed manual transmission. While power and torque outputs will be identical to the Elite i20, the torque delivery has improved by 6 percent in case of petrol and 11 percent for the diesel.
At 190 mm, the i20 Active gets a 20 mm extra ground clearance, and a long list of cosmetic and feature changes. Starting inside, the i20 Active is given sport pedals and an all-black dashboard with Orange inserts. On certain body colors, Hyundai has opted to give a dual-tone Blue and black dashboard.
In equipment, the i20 Active adds cornering lights, LED daytime running lights and projector headlights to the already well-covered Elite i20. Conceptualized at Hyundai's European design center in Rüsselsheim, Germany, the i20 Active gets new front and rear bumpers, circular foglights/reflectors, a new grille, new alloy wheels, roof rails and side body cladding.
