Economic Times reports that the price of the Hyundai Creta has been hiked by up to INR 65,000.
The company has increased the prices of all the cars in its portfolio, from the Eon to the Santa Fe, by a margin of INR 3,000 to INR 80,000 depending on the models and their sub-variants. The hike in prices was announced shortly after Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley announced in his budget speech an increase in the infra-cess levied on passenger vehicles sold in the country by up to five percent.
The Hyundai Creta used to be priced between INR 8,87,337 and INR 13,95,647 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is offered in a total of 10 variants including three petrol and seven diesel trims. While the other Hyundai models are reported to have been subjected to a fixed price hike varying only from car to car, the prices of Creta are increased variably from INR 26,000 to INR 65,000 from base version to the range-topping variant.
