Honda Navi to get "more changes and options"

The Honda Navi was showcased for the first time at 2016 Auto Expo.

The Honda Navi, with its unconventional looks, has been garnering a lot of interest in India. The company has sold about 60,000 units in the first year of launch, surpassing the target of 25,000 units it set at the launch quite easily.

Along with the standard Honda Navi, Honda also showcased the Navi Chrome, Navi Street (featured here), Navi Adventure and Navi Off-road.

In a recent conversation with Indian Autos Blog, Mr YS Guleria, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd, revealed that Honda will be launching more variants of the Honda Navi.

At the Auto Expo, Honda had showcased the Honda Navi Street, Honda Navi Adventure, Honda Navi Chrome and Honda Navi Off-road. With the Adventure and Chrome already in stores, the new variants may be the Street and Off-road.

Mr Guleria said:

They (new variants) will come but in a stepwise way as there is a bit of investment which goes. Otherwise yes there will be some more changes and more options in future which are going to come for Navi.

The Honda Navi is powered by the same 109.19 cc sourced from the Honda Activa is coupled to a V-matic gearbox. The engine is capable of producing 8 bhp of maximum power at 7,000 rpm and 8.96 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The Navi tips the scales at 101 kg and has a 3.8-litre fuel tank.

The Honda Navi has been priced at INR 41,500 for the standard trim, INR 44,713 for the Chrome edition and INR 48,173 for the Adventure trim (ex-showroom, Delhi).
