Going with earlier this month's report, Honda has announced that it has sold over 10,000 units of the Honda Navi.
The Honda Navi was launched in Goa last week and will be available in 35 cities in the country by June-end. The Navi is Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India's first model to have been developed 100% in-house from concept development to commercial production and priced at INR 39,648 (ex-showroom Delhi). It's available in five colours: Patriot Red, Hopper Green, Shasta White, Sparky Orange & Black.
Commenting on the sales success achieved in just two months of the vehicle's availability, Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria- Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said, “We are delighted with the overwhelming response for NAVI from customers, especially from urban trendsetting youth. The unique appeal has made it a rage in the 2Wheeler industry."
The Honda Navi measures 1,805 mm in length, 748 mm in width and 1,286 mm in wheelbase, and has a ground clearance of 156 mm and a seat height of 765 mm. The scooter weighs 101 kg. It's powered by the 110 cc HET single-cylinder engine that produces 7.83 hp at 7,000 rpm and 8.96 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm and sends drive via the V-matic transmission (continuously variable transmission). Honda claims a top speed of 81 km/h.
