Honda Cars India will also launch the sportier looking Mobilio RS variant, Indian Autos Blog has come to know. The Mobilio RS went on sale in Indonesia a couple of weeks ago, and is priced and positioned as the flagship variant on the MPV.
The RS sees inclusion of a sporty body kit with aggressively styled front and rear bumpers, side skirts, larger airdams, a dual-slat chrome grille, new headlight clusters with HID (High Intensity Discharge) projector lights, chrome exhaust finisher, 15-inch alloy wheels and a rear spoiler. All these features are expected to be offered on the India-spec Mobilio RS as well.
On the inside, the Indonesian-spec RS gets an all-black interior with a 6.1-inch center screen. A reverse camera and tweeters were other additional features seen exclusive to the RS. In Indonesia, the RS is priced an Indian equivalent of INR 70,500 over the Mobilio Prestige variant.
The Honda Mobilio will launch in India towards the end of this month in petrol and diesel variants. The engines - 1.5-liter petrol and diesel - are expected to be borrowed from the new City. Pre-launch bookings for the MPV will commence in the coming days, but certain dealers have already started accepting orders.
