Company witnesses its market share in the 100 - 110 cc segment grow by 400% since 2012.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has surpassed the 10 lakh sales milestone of its highly successful Dream series of 110 cc commuters since the Honda Dream Yuga's launch 26 months ago.
The Dream family currently comprises of three models - Dream Yuga, Dream Neo and the newly launched CD 110 Dream. The trio are positioned in such a manner to cover the massive commuter segment.
The Dream series of commuters are powered by a 110 cc air-cooled engine with Honda Eco Technology (HET) which generates 8.25 bhp and 8.63 Nm of torque. A 4-speed gearbox is standard across the range.
To celebrate the sales milestone, Honda has announced "One Million Dream Celebration Offer" through which the new Dream series customers can avail free insurance and an attractive finance scheme of upto 100% (available only on the Dream Yuga and Dream Neo till August 31).
The commuter bike segment has been the Japanese two wheeler maker's fastest growing segment in India. Since 2012, the company's market share in the 100 - 110 cc segment has grown by 400% and as a result, HMSI edged others to become the second largest two wheeler maker in India, next only to Hero Motocorp who is also the world's largest two wheeler maker (in terms of volumes).
