The new Fireblade celebrates the 25th anniversary of the brand.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd have commenced bookings of the 2017 Honda CBR1000RR and Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade SP via its Wing World outlets in Mumbai and Delhi. Both the bike are CBUs (Completely Built-up Units).
The 2017 Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade SP was unveiled at Intermot 2016 and the entry level Honda CBR1000RR was introduced later at EICMA 2016. The bike is powered by a 999 cc in-line four cylinder mill capable of producing 189 bhp of maximum power and 116 Nm of peak torque. Coupled to this is a 6-speed gearbox with a quickshifter as an option in CBR1000RR and standard in the SP variant.
The new Fireblade focuses on weight saving and the kerb weight has been limited to 196 kg for the Honda CBR1000RR and 195 kg for the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade SP. Other features include throttle by wire, a 9-level Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) system, Selectable Engine Brake (SEB), Honda Electronic Steering Damper (HESD) and Power Selector.

Colour options for the Indian market includes Victory Red and Matt Ballistic Black (metallic). The suspension system in the Honda CBR1000RR SP has been sourced from Ohlins while the brake callipers are by Brembo. The standard Fireblade gets the callipers from Tokico.
The 2017 Honda CBR1000RR has been priced at INR 17.61 lakhs and INR 21.70 lakhs for the 2017 Honda CBR1000RR SP (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
