Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has unveiled a new variant of the Honda CB Unicorn 160 at the Auto Expo 2016 in Greater Noida. It is billed as a sportier version as it features body coloured side panels and grab rails, and a Matte Grey paint-job. This model will soon be available for order. The other aspects of the motorcycle are the same as the existing Unicorn 160.
The Honda CB Unicorn 160 was launched in December 2014 in two variants - standard and CBS (Combi-Brake System). It measures 2,045 mm in length, 757 mm in width and 1,060 mm in height, 1,324 mm in wheelbase, 150 mm in ground clearance and has 12 litres of fuel tank capacity.
The 135 kg motorcycle is based on a diamond frame, and is equipped with a telescopic fork, spring loaded hydraulic monoshock, 240 mm disc brake upfront, 130 mm drum brake at the rear, 80/100-17 tyre at the front and 110/80-17 tyre at the rear (both tubeless).
The Unicorn 160 is powered by a 163 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces 14.5 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 14.61 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm, mated to a five-speed gearbox. The rated maximum speed of the bike is 106 km/h.
