Other exhibits include the Project 2&4 concept and the McLaren Honda MP4-30.
Honda Cars India has confirmed the models that will be showcased at the Auto Expo 2016 in February, which include the highly anticipated Honda BR-V, Honda Accord, Project 2and4 concept and a Jazz racing prototype.
Unveiled in Indonesia in 2015, the BR-V will make it to Indian shores for its introduction at the show. To serve as Honda's answer to the Hyundai Creta and Renault Duster, the BR-V is a 7-seater crossover that features the striking yet familiar Honda design. It will be offered with 1.5-liter petrol and diesel engines borrowed from the City.
Honda will re-introduce the Honda Accord, which is currently in its ninth generation. Reports suggest that it will feature a hybrid powertrain with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine linked to a 124 kW electric motor, as well as a regular model with a a 2.4-liter four-cylinder i-VTEC engine that produces 185 hp and is mated to a CVT box.
Making its world premiere at the 2015 IAA in Frankfurt, the Project 2and4 Concept is a radical concept designed by the Honda’s ‘Global Design Project’ competition’s winning entry. The body design and engine of the prototype has been inspired by the legendary Honda RA 272 that raced in 1965 Formula 1 season.
