A Thai facebook page dedicated to the new Honda Civic has uploaded a spyshot of the next generation model testing in Thailand. The bodystyle on test is the Civic sedan that was launched in the U.S market last October, and was caught in Thailand for the first time last November.
The pre-production Civic has a silver wrap over its exterior, thereby not hiding much, with respect to exterior design. Unlike the model sold in the U.S, the tester is fitted with a small rear wing, which could be an optional accessory when launched. So far, only the rear-end has been snapped, and is identical to that of the North American-spec Civic.
Engine lineup in the US includes a 2.0 litre naturally-aspirated VTEC DOHC four-cylinder engine with 158 hp at 6,500 rpm and 187 Nm at 4,200 rpm, and an all new 1.5 turbo VTEC mill with 174 hp at 5,500 rpm and 220 Nm of torque from 1,800 to 5,000 rpm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual (2.0 variant only) and a CVT gearbox.
