Honda Activa is presently in its 4th generation avatar.
The Honda Activa has emerged as India's, as well as the world’s largest selling two-wheeler. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd yesterday announced that it had rolled out the 15 millionth unit of the gearless scooter.
The Honda Activa marked its highest sales volumes in a fiscal in 2016-17 with 2,759,835 units. Introduced first in 2001, the Honda Activa registered sales of 55,000 units in the first year. The 1st million was achieved in December 2005 while the 10 millionth unit milestone was achieved in July 2015.

While the Honda Activa took 10 years to achieve 50 lakh copies, the next 50 lakh came in 3 years while the last 50 lakh units took just 1.5 years. The Activa has also emerged as the country’s largest selling two-wheeler in a financial year, beating the Hero Splendor by 2.09 lakh units, breaking its 17-year run.
The Honda Activa range comprises of the Honda Activa 4G, Honda Activa 125 and Honda Activa i which are priced at INR 50,730, INR 56,945 and INR 47,913 respectively (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).
In the previous fiscal, the Honda Activa added 15.54 lakh units to HMSI's kitty while its nearest competitor registered a growth of just 4.71 lakh units.
