Powered by a 150 cc engine that makes 15.2 hp and 12.8 Nm.
Hero MotoCorp will launch the Hero Xtreme Sports 150 cc motorcycle in the Nepalese market this month, says a report by the Himalayan Times. The bike was earlier showcased at the Nepal Auto Show 2014 (NADA) to get public response for the same.
Expected to be priced between NPR 228,000 and 243,000, the Xtreme Sports is targeted at the youth. It looks sportier than the regular Xtreme, thanks to the new headlamp and fuel tank, and is more powerful with the 149.2 cc, air-cooled engine making 15.2 hp of maximum power at 8,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 12.8 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The front wheel gets a 240 mm disc brake standard while the rear comes with an optional 220 mm disc. It measures 2,100 mm long, 1,080 mm tall, and 780 mm wide, and weighs 139 kg for the dual-disc version and 148 kg for the rear drum variant.
Nepal General Marketing (NGM), Hero MotoCorp's authorised distributor will be responsible for selling the bike in the country. And they are pretty keen about the bike's success, thanks to the number of enquiries received since the time the Xtreme Sports was showcased at NADA.
