Motorbeam reports that the soon-to-be-launched Hero Xtreme Sports will be priced at INR 70,300 for the entry level variant while the top-end model with a rear disc brake will retail for INR 73,650 (both prices are ex-showroom Pune).
The motorcycle which was unveiled earlier this year and subsequently showcased at international auto shows in Nepal and Sri Lanka targets younger audience. Compared to the regular Xtreme, the Xtreme Sports features a revised headlamp with LED pilot lights and a new fuel tank design.
In addition to the cosmetic enhancements, the Xtreme Sports also gets increased performance. The motorcycle uses the same 149.2 cc air-cooled engine which is tuned to produce 15.2 bhp and 12.8 Nm of torque. The transmission continues to be a 5-speed unit.
The bike is suspended by a telescopic fork (front) and gas charged twin shock absorbers (rear). The front wheel is retarded by a standard 240 mm disc while the rear gets a 130 mm drum brake or an optional 220 mm disc. Electric start is available as a standard feature.

The Xtreme Sports gets a 12.1 liter fuel tank. The base variant (disc+drum) tips the scales at 148 kg while the top end variant (dual discs) weigh 139 kg.
