For the first time in the Indian two-wheeler industry, Hero MotoCorp has created a record with 7,587,130 unit two-wheeler sales from April 2017 to March 2018.
This translates to a growth of 13.84 percent over the previous fiscal. In March 2018, the brand clocked its highest ever monthly sale of 730,473. This amounts to a 20% growth over the same month last year. In the same month, the brand inaugurated its 8th manufacturing plant in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh.

With this additional facility, the company will have a cumulative capacity of 11 million units annually. The company currently has an installed capacity of 9.2 million units per annum. In the third quarter of the FY-17-18, the brand unveiled the Hero Passion Pro, Passion XPro and the Super Splendor in the third quarter of the fiscal. For the financial year 2018-19, the company plans to launch four new products – Xtreme 200R and XPulse in the premium motorcycle segment; and Duet 125 and Maestro Edge 125 in the scooter segment.
The Xtreme 200R and the XPulse are expected to enhance Hero MotoCorp's position in the premium motorcycle segment. The XPulse will be an ideal cost-effective alternative to the Royal Enfield Himalayan which is currently the least expensive off-road friendly motorcycle available in India.
