Hero MotoCorp has showcased its 200 cc adventure motorcycle, the Hero XPulse 200 at the 2018 Auto Expo in Greater Noida. Here are the bike's live images from the show.
With the new Hero XPulse 200, the Indian brand targets young and thrill-seeking riding enthusiasts who seek a comfortable and capable riding companion for leisure as well as adventure excursions. The bike is built on a high-tensile steel diamond frame, with telescopic front fork and a gas-charged monoshock with 10-step adjustability. The front suspension has a 190 mm stroke, and the rear monoshock offers 170 mm wheel travel. The ground clearance stands at a generous 220 mm and the upswept exhaust enhances the bike’s water-wading capability.
The instrumentation is digital, and features first-in-class turn-by-turn navigation. Other notable features include full-LED headlamp and tail light; windshield; luggage rack; and knuckle guards. Coming to the powertrain, the bike employs a 200 cc single cylinder mill with air cooling and fuel injection. The engine is good for 18.4 PS of power and 17.1 Nm of torque. The crash-guard and the aluminium skid plate offers adequate protection.
The 21-inch front and the 18-inch rear spoke wheels are shod with dual-purpose tyres. The petal discs come with switchable ABS as well. Hero says the XPulse 200 will enter the market ahead of the festive season, this year. Hero developed the bike indigenously at the Hero Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT) in Jaipur. Once launched, it would be one of the most affordable adventure motorcycles in the country.
