The engine is capable of generating a maximum power of 8.70 bhp at 6,750 rpm while developing a peak torque of 10.2 Nm at 5,000 rpm. A CVT transfers control to the wheels. This engine will come mated to a CVT automatic transmission. As far as pricing is concerned, the Duet 125 is likely to carry a premium of around INR 5,000 over the Duet 110 variant, with an expected price of INR 52,000 (are ex-showroom).
The Hero Duet 125 will come with 10-inch alloy wheels that will run on 90-section tubeless tires. Suspension hardware will include a telescopic front fork and a spring loaded hydraulic damper at the back. Braking force comes from drum brakes at both the ends. The two-wheeler features a fuel tank capacity of 5.5 liters along with a claimed top speed of 85 kph.
