Expected to debut at the Geneva motor show.
Seen here are the first spyshots of the Fiat Tipo hatchback (Fiat Egea hatchback), which is reported to have its premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2016.
As can be seen from the spyshots, which were snapped in Turkey, the hatchback sports the same design theme observed on the sedan, which goes on sale in the coming weeks. In fact, even the rear doors of the Tipo/Egea-based hatchback appear carried over from the sedan, and its only post the C-Pillar where designers have made changes.
Under the hood, the hatchback would borrow its 'FIRE' petrol and 'MultiJet' diesel engines from the Tipo/Egea, which comes with a total of four engine options with power outputs ranging from 95-120 hp. The more powerful 1.6-liter petrol gets a 6-speed automatic transmission, whereas the diesels are served with manual gearboxes only, for now. Later in June 2016, a 6-speed dual-clutch is reported to be on offer on the 1.6-liter MultiJet.
Apart from the hatchback, Fiat will also introduce an estate/station wagon based on the Tipo/Egea, which could also debut at the Geneva show.
