A 6-speed dual-clutch will be introduced from mid-2016.
A report on Ototeknikveri reveals the specifications of the Fiat Egea, ahead of its market launch in November.
As reported earlier, the Egea will be available with two petrol engines and two diesel engines. The petrol lineup will consist of a 1.4-liter FIRE four-cylinder unit paired to a 5-speed manual transmission developing 95 hp, and a 1.6-liter Etorq 110 hp engine paired to a 6-speed automatic.
Coming to the diesel lineup, a 1.3-liter Multijet diesel will provide 95 hp with a 5-speed manual transmission, whereas a 1.6-liter Multijet diesel will develop 120 hp with a 6-speed manual. The publication states that from June 2016, the 1.6-liter Multijet will also be made available with a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Fiat has also updated its Turkish website for the Egea, confirming the dimensions of the sedan. It will measure 4.5 meters in length, 1.78 meters in width, 1.48 meters in height and 2.64 meters in wheelbase. The boot space is rated at 510 liters. The website further states that the most frugal variant of the Egea will deliver 25 km/l.

Production of the Egea has started at Tofas's factory in Bursa, Turkey, which will also export the sedan to 40 global markets. According to reports, the hatchback and the estate derivative of the Egea will have their debuts at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, scheduled for the first week of March 2016. The Egea remains unconfirmed for the Indian market.
