Ducati SuperSport & SuperSport S launched in India

Ducati India has launched its sport-touring offerings, the Ducati SuperSport and the SuperSport S in India; with prices starting from INR 12,08,000 (ex-showroom India) for the SuperSport. The ex-showroom, India cost of the upmarket variant Ducati SuperSport S is INR 13,39,000.

Commenting on the launch of the bikes, Sergi Canovas, Managing Director of Ducati India said:

The Ducati SuperSport shares its powerplant with the Multistrada 950 and the Hypermotard 939. The 937cc L-twin Desmodromic motor with liquid cooling churns out 113 PS of power at 9,000 rpm. The maximum torque figure stands at 96.7 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine transmits power via a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch.

The electronics on the SuperSport include Sport, Touring and Urban Riding Modes via Ride-by-Wire. Ducati Safety Pack (DSP), which includes dual channel Bosch 9MP ABS and Ducati Traction Control, enhances the bike’s performance and optimises control even on surfaces that offer less grip. The SuperSport S version comes with a fully adjustable Öhlins suspension (front and rear), the Ducati Quick Shift up/down system, and a rear seat cover. The Ducati Quick Shift and the rear seat cover are also available as accessories for the SuperSport version.

The bike rivals the Suzuki GSX-S1000F and recently launched Kawasaki Ninja 1000 in its segment.

The Ducati SuperSport employs 43 mm fully adjustable Marzocchi front forks and an adjustable Sachs monoshock. The two motorcycles use dual 320 mm front discs with radially mounted Brembo Monobloc callipers at the front. The rear features a 245 mm disc with two-piston callipers. ABS is standard on both the bikes.

Deliveries for the Ducati SuperSport & SuperSport S have started across all seven Ducati dealerships in India including Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Kochi & Kolkata. A range of matching apparels and accessories are available as well.
