The S badge variant features several hardware upgrades over the standard model and thus carries a premium over the standard model. One of the most significant updates includes electronic suspension with the Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) system – seen on the Multistrada 1260 range – that continuously adjusts fork and shock absorber damping.
Mechanical specifications on the Multistrada 950 range include a 937 cc, twin cylinder Testastretta 11°, liquid-cooled engine with Desmodromic timing that churns out 113 hp at 9,000 rpm and a peak torque of 96 Nm at 7,750 rpm. Maintenance intervals are set at 15,000 km or 12 months, with valve play inspection every 30,000 km.
Electronic rider aids on the standard and the S model include Bosch Cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Vehicle Hold Control (VHC). The Multistrada 950 S also benefits from Ducati Quick Shift up/down (DQS) (available as an accessory for the Multistrada 950), Ducati Cornering Lights (DCL), Cruise Control and backlit switchgear controls. Both the Multistrada 950 and the Multistrada 950 S can mount the Ducati Multimedia System (DMS). The Multistrada 950 is available in Ducati Red while the Multistrada 950 S comes in Ducati Red and Glossy Grey.
The Ducati Multistrada range could be further customised with optional personalisation packages that include Touring, Sports, Urban and Enduro packs.
- Touring Pack: panniers, heated grips, centre stand
- Sport Pack: type-approved Ducati Performance silencer by Termignoni (complies with EU homologation requirements), water pump cover in billet aluminium, LED indicators.
