Datsun India, which launched the Datsun redi-GO Sport on September 29, 2016, announced that the limited edition model sold out its initial production run within a month. Datsun announced that only 1,000 units of the redi-GO Sport would be made at the time of its launch.
To cater to customer demand, Datsun, in a statement dated yesterday, says that it will produce a further 800 units of the redi-GO Sport. Deliveries of these units will be scheduled next month. The Datsun redi-GO Sport is priced at INR 3,49,479 (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
On the outside, the redi-GO Sport features a contrasting black stripe running across the hood, roof and tailgate, a gloss black bezel around the grille with a red-painted mesh, black-painted wheel covers with red accents, a black roof spoiler and another stripe across its profile. It is available in three colors: Ruby red, white and grey.
Inside, the redi-GO Sport swaps the beige color for an all-black interior with red accents on the steering wheel and AC vents, to match with the exterior theme. The redi-GO Sport also comes with rear parking sensors, stereo system with bluetooth connectivity and remote keyless entry.

It continues to be powered by the 799 cc three-cylinder petrol engine capable of 53 hp and 72 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. It is capable of averaging 25.17 km/l (certified by ARAI).
