BMW recently introduced M Performance parts for M235i convertible, too.
At the ongoing 2015 Detroit Auto Show, BMW is showcasing an M235i fully loaded with M Performance Parts. While these parts, consisting of both aesthetic (exterior and interior) and mechanical updates, have been available for the 2 Series coupe, BMW recently announced their arrival on the 2 Series convertible as well.
Starting from the front end, the M bumper with large air intakes comes with a front spoiler. The rear gets a diffuser insert while the sides benefit from skirts. The kidney grille has a black surround, the exhaust end can has a carbon surround, and the mirrors have carbon caps.
There's an addition of stickers on the sides, and the car now sits lower by 20 mm thanks to sports suspension, on 19-inch forged wheels. On the inside, there's the M Performance steering wheel, Alcantara and carbon bits aplenty, steel pedals and M door sills.
There's also a Power Kit (for both coupe and convertible) that bumps the power output on the 220d by 14 hp, resulting in a maximum power of 204 hp. As a result, the 0-100 km/h time drops by 0.3 seconds. An optional limited slip differential is also available which helps put the power down to the road more effectively.
The recently announced M Performance Parts for the convertible include the above mentioned upgrades, although the presence of M sports suspension isn't yet known.
