BMW Motorrad has released a promo video for the BMW G310R which explains the features of the motorcycle. The model is expected to be shown at the Auto Expo 2016 in Greater Noida in February.
The G310R is the first sub-500 cc motorcycle from BMW Motorrad which was completely developed in Munich. It will be produced by TVS Motor Company in India at the facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. Similar to the case of the KTM Duke 200 and the Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS, there will be a TVS version of the BMW G310R which will go on sale alongside. They will be sold at their respective dealerships, expectedly from sometime next year.

The G310R will compete indirectly with naked bikes such as the KTM Duke 390 and the Mahindra Mojo. It is powered by a liquid-cooled 313 cc backward-tilted single-cylinder engine with DOHC, that produces 34 hp (25 kW) at 9,500 rpm and 28 Nm at 7,500 rpm. The transmission system is a six-speed unit.
