BMW Motorrad of Thailand has launched the 2016 BMW C650 Sport and the 2016 BMW C650 GT at the ongoing 37th Bangkok International Motor Show (2016 BIMS). They are priced at THB 525,000 (INR 9.93 lakhs) and THB 555,000 (INR 10.50 lakhs) respectively.
The second generation models are targeted more at the sporting and touring enthusiasts (respectively) featuring an improved chassis, enhanced suspension, a more powerful engine and a new CVT in conjunction with new clutch linings. The 2016 C650 GT gets adaptive daytime riding light, new mirrors with better view of the rear and the SVA Side View Assist feature (optional).

They are powered by the 647 cc water-cooled twin-cylinder engine with DOHC, four valves with bucket tappets and dry sump lubrication. The fuel supply is controlled by BMS-E2 digital engine management system. The engine produces 60 hp (44 KW) at 7,750 rpm and 63 Nm at 6,000 rpm and is mated to a CVT.
