The BMW 3 series needs no foreword and for those who want a more powerful variant, there is always the BMW M3. However for those who need something in between, both in relations with price and performance, the 3-Series Performance will suit your needs.
The 3-Series Performance is a package from BMW consisting of accessories like sports brakes, the BMW Performance chassis, a carbon fiber-made BMW Performance spring-strut brace leg and alloy wheels.
The interior of the BMW Performance 3 Series features black Alcantara sports seats, a new gearshift and gear lever knob, hand brake handle, a multi-function sport steering wheel. The inside of the BMW Performance 3 Series also features a special display that shows the various technical information such as oil and water temperature, transverse and longitudinal acceleration as well as shifting points.
The sports brakes are very generously sized with 6-piston brake calipers on the front axle painted in bright yellow and 19 inch alloy wheels to top it all up. These accessories are bolt-ons and will take little time to fix on your BMW 3 Series.
The kit also includes an Aerodynamics Kit for both the BMW 3 Series sedan and the BMW 3 Series Touring (which has not yet arrived in India). The 3 Series Performance will go on sale from March-April 2009 in international markets and would hopefully be available for Indian customers. Nothing about the price has come out, but stay tuned to IAB to learn as details arrive.
