BMW Group Indonesia has unveiled the BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer to the Indonesian public at the 2015 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS 2015).
The BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer is basically an extended version of the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, where the latter is sold in Indonesia at Rp. 659,000,000. It’s based on the same UKL FWD platform that underpins the 2 Series Active Tourer, but gets an additional row of seats in the 2+3+2 format.
It measures 4,556 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, and 1,608 mm in height. Inside, the Gran Tourer comes with 645 litres of boot space, which can be increased to 805 litres by folding the rear bench, and to 1,905 litres by folding the second row seats.
The BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer is available in a single variant - 218i Gran Tourer Luxury - which is powered by a 1.5-liter 3 cylinder petrol engine producing 136 hp and 220 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 6-speed Steptronic transmission. It is capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.5 seconds with a top speed of 203 km/h.
The BMW 218i Gran Tourer Luxury is priced at Rp. 749,000,000 (off-the-road).
