Bajaj Auto will launch its all-new motorcycle (motorcycle sub-brand), the Bajaj 'V' in New Delhi today. According to a previous report, the first motorcycle from this sub-brand will be called the Bajaj Valor.
Bajaj released a teaser of the motorcycle on Republic day, citing that it will be made from metal used on INS Vikrant, India's first aircraft carrier. A special logo on the motorcycle commemorates this as well.
Based on a teaser image, the Bajaj Valor is expected to be an executive commuter motorcycle, however with exclusive styling bits like a slender tank, a cafe-racer inspired styling, 5-twin-spoke alloy wheels, telescopic forks up front and twin shocks at the rear, and a disc brake at the front.
A report states that the Bajaj Valor will borrow its 150 cc single-cylinder engine from the Bajaj Discover, though the new motorcycle will be positioned below the Discover. On the Discover, this engine develops around 14.5 PS and 12.75 Nm of torque, and is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. A 125 cc model is reportedly planned for a later launch as well.
