The Bajaj Pulsar CS400 was previewed in concept form at Auto Expo 2014 and will finally make it to production and reach dealerships this year. It will be the most powerful and capable production Bajaj Pulsar ever made. Bajaj Auto President (Business Development & Assurance) S Ravikumar confirmed last month that the company will launch the Pulsar CS400 in Q3 2016 (July-September 2016). The flagship Pulsar is expected to be priced at INR 1.8 lakhs (ex-showroom).
The Bajaj Pulsar CS400 is said to be based on the Bajaj Pulsar RS200's platform. A minor seat re-design and a telescopic front suspension in place of upside-down fork are the only noteworthy differences from the concept version.
The Bajaj Pulsar CS400 will be powered by a modified version of the KTM Duke 390's 373.2 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. This engine is already undergoing changes for the second generation KTM Duke 390 expected to debut at EICMA 2016 in November, and there may be some commonality as to the highlights of the new version in the new generation/new lightweight motorcycles from both KTM and Bajaj.

Bajaj Auto's version is expected to incorporate its triple-spark technology. A 6-speed transmission will channel the power, while stopping power will be provided by front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS.
