Previewed alongside the Bajaj Pulsar 150 NS.
Immediately after the first images of the production-spec Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS surfaced, a video showing the new fully faired sportsbike doing donuts has emerged. As it turns out, the bike made its premiere at a dealer preview in Turkey.
The Pulsar 200 SS borrows its hardware from the naked Pulsar 200 NS and its design from the Pulsar SS 400 which was showcased at the Auto Expo 2014.
Twin projector headlights, eyebrow-like LED daytime running lights, split seat, clip-on handlebar, a stubby silencer and boomerang shaped two-piece combination lights sum up the design. The instrument panel is lifted off the 200 NS.
The 199.5 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine comes from its naked sibling, but whether or not it gets fuel injection remains to be seen. It is to be noted that the Pulsar 200 NS sold in Turkey is equipped with FI. The power and torque outputs of the FI and carbureted version are identical at 23.52 PS at 9,500 rpm and 18.3 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm. A 6-speed gearbox harnesses the power.
