The forthcoming 150NS will be based on the 200NS's platform.
Speaking to IANS at a recent event, Bajaj Auto's president of motorcycle business, Mr. Eric Vas, said that the company plans to have another Pulsar launch during the June-July period. The Pulsar lined up for mid-2015 could be the 150NS, which was spied testing earlier this year.
The 150NS would be Bajaj's fourth new Pulsar model this year after the RS200, AS200 and AS150. Instead of using the Pulsar 150's platform, the 150NS, like the AS150 would be based on the 200NS's perimeter frame platform, which is modern and lightweight.
Powering the Bajaj Pulsar 150NS will be the same 149.5 cc single-cylinder, twin-spark DTS-i engine that does duty on the AS150. This engine makes 17 PS and 13 Nm of torque, and is paired to a 5-speed transmission on the Adventure Sport.
To keep costs in check, the 150NS will do without ABS and a rear disc brake, and a projector headlight could also be deleted from the features list.
